that means your overclock is unstable if the fps is lower.

Also it doesnt matter how much you overclock that HD6850, you cant even experience its real power at stock speed with an old pentium e2140.
That old dualcore will bottleneck anything faster than an HD4650.

Keep your HD6850 at stock speed and replace your cpu with something faster. Also add another 2gb of ram.

Yeah lower the overclock. See if it goes up or stays the same. If it doesn't go up, lower it until it's worse than 940 and stay there. There's a chance the CPU can't keep up with high overclock.

This cat scratches free.

Yes you do. If I were you I would look at a used pc on craigslist or build a new budget pc. I have seen I5 systems(prebuilt) go for as little as $300.

My wife said "It's me or the computer!" I still miss her.

unigine is not a game, its a videocard benchmark, it mostly only uses your videocard while your cpu is doing nothing.
A game on the other hand uses your entire system, and when one part is slower and cant keep up with other parts, you have a bottleneck.

To fully utilize your HD6850, you need to overclock that E2140 to at least 3.0 Ghz,
and add at least another 1gb ram so you have a total of 3GB ram.

Even then, the HD6850 would still have some unused muscle as compared to pairing it with a faster cpu.
I experienced this when I upgraded my athlon quadcore to an FX6100.

My FPS in NBA2k12:

Athlon X4 3.3 Ghz = 90 FPS
FX6100 4.0 Ghz = 115 FPS
jdsdk likes this.
