@Any other haterz: If the best you can do is criticize my choice in case then please dont comment here . I'm very happy with my case and thank you for your repeated suggestions, if I agreed I would have already replied , bought and had it overnighted by now.

@Everyone else: thank you for your comments and compliments about the rig. I work for a living and this is one way I get to double dip , improve my work gear and ALSO build a kick a$$ rig. I wasnt born with money , my family was Po' and I worked like a fool to get ahead, this is me getting to enjoy the effort and improve my work toolz also.

If peeps have constructive comments , requests for specific benches, or questions PLEASE feel free to hit me up I am happy to help , bump OCN in the bench wars and do my part.

Haters: Please troll elsewhere, this thread is about the gear and the performance, not one persons opinion about the single part (ahemnnn... my case or unrelated gear *cough* Nikon D80 ).

If anyone wants to convince me to replace a peice of equip. in here plz PM me and lets not clog an alread fat thread w/thingz that arent helpful to anyone else

thanks ya'll

You know when someone asks, who would you want to swap lives with for a year?, but then have it centered around PC's, I would pick yours! I'd be all over Dirt 2 with that Rig and them 3 Dell monitors!

I'd rather build something to be proud of. Build a system that is my own. Acquire upgrades and peripherals in my own time. Enjoy my creation as it evolves.

Almost, LOL

I currently have Raid 0 across the two SSD's (OS & Core APPS), two SAS 15K Fujitsu's (Games & Steam Games), and three 2TB hitachi's (Misc Data).

The areca 1680ix raid card controller made the mobo hang at boot so while its getting returned , & I order a perc 6i and get it all back this is the config for now.

240 GB SSD + 250GB SAS 15K + 6TB Hitachi all in Raid - 0 on seperate volumes; for now.

This is an awesome system. Congratulations. Also I don't know about the haterz of the case. They are pretty much retarded. The atcs 840 is one of the biggest cases you can buy right now. Especially for the price. The only other big ones I can think of is the Obsidian and the Canyon. Good choice on the case.

Theres lotz of opinions on blocks and I've used DD blocks for my GTX285's and for these 5970's , but I will go out on a limb and say they feel SOLID, work great and dont restrict flow. I havent used other blocks , but my flow rate hasnt dropped noticeable using themz TBH. Also, wit the DD-5970 b;locks my flow rate improved from the GTX285 blocks and they werent shabby to say the least.
Nice temps, thanks for sharing that as well as all of your results. I think I now have rig envy....
