I'd say get a 7600GT plus, they're cheaper

Do not EVER buy computer hardware from retail stores such as Best Buy. Always buy from online store such as Newegg and save a lot of money. The 7600GT is slightly better than the x1600pro.

After seeing that most games that I like play best on an ATI card, I will switch to an ATI next time come round for my next upgrade but it all depends on whether or not ATI decides to make a single slot card, I don't like the dual slot stuff but I'd compromise that for an X1900XTX.

A 7600gt blows a x1600pro or x1600xt out of the water. I mean its not even close so go with the 7600gt.

http://www.it-review.net/index.php?o...1&limitstart=1
That is a 7600gt.

http://www.bjorn3d.com/read_2006.php...69&pageID=1989
That is a x1600xt.

The 7600gt wins by quite a bit.

Boards that support SLI tend to be the most feature rich and high quality boards. So sites that test hardware buy them because they are some of the best motherboards and the can use them to test SLI setups when they need to.
