What is like the Max a cpu should get I have a AM2 3800+ X2 and I was just wondering when I should like worry about my cpus temps?

I think the max temp is around 70C. If your not overclocking I think you should idle anywhere from ~30-40C and load ~40-50C. I wouldnt operate it over 55C for prolonged periods.

how can i tell the temp between load and idle? like what program can i use? i tried to download speed fan? and i didnt know what it was talking about cause it had 3 fans like temps and that didnt make sense cause i have 4 including my cpu fan and i dunno im a beginner still and i would really appriciate some help

DL that and then you need to mod it a little to run for dual-core. Follow this guys instructions, but in the part where he puts 400 in for how much RAM each prime95 will be using, put in 800 since you have 2gb over his 1gb of ram.

Let them both run and watch speedfan to make sure cpu load is at 100% for both cpus in the little green bar. Let it run for like 10 minutes then you should see what your load temps will be like.

Your still only running at 50%, both bars should fill up and say 100% when both are being used. Did u change the affinity for the diff prime95's running? But at 50% your at 25C (thats very very cool) and I'm pretty sure your very good on temps. Even at 100 i doubt youll come close to 40C.
