I have my 8120 setup as thus, 21.5x200 4.3ghz @ 1.425
For awhile I've noticed some serious vdroop when I run p95, the voltage in cpu-z ftops as far as 1.2880v, I tried a few times to compensate by disabling llc and droping my voltage to 1.3750 but was met with instability. So I left it at 1.425 and turned llc to 1/2 and it's droping slightly less to 1.296 but remains stable, any thoughts on this strange issue?

As long as you're stable I wouldn't worry.....Vdroop is actually a safety feature to prevent the chip from exceeding its TDP too far.

Not much use to it though since I am under water and well away from 60c at load. I am sitting at 46c @ 4.5 with 1.370v with llc off I am much more stable, the vdroop was droping too much and causing instability.

It seem to simply hang without any error message. I checked my memory but that's alot of ram. This motherboard doesn't seem able to handle 4x2gb dimms being used with this overclock. It wasn't stable so I dropped back to 4.3 and was unstable with llc off but I would make 3 passes at 4.4 with llc off and 1.36v and then it would lock up without an error message.

I am at work but I'm on a biostar ta 990fxe and an h100. I get insane vdroop also and I think its limiting my OC. My computer will shut off in prime 95 because my vrm hetsink is sooo hot. I put a fan on it and it helped. I can't seem to get get it over 4.1ghz. There are no errors it either freezes on load from p95. Then I will be fine for 30min and it black screen and I have to shut it of and reset the cmos if the vcore is over 1.5v. I think the power draw on load is huge so the vrms are just overwhelmed. Lucky they are quality and don't pop. I will be watching this thread though

EDIT
This never happened with my Thu an. Voltage was steady.

Same issue here TA990fxe and fx 4100. Didn't have this issue running a 955 BE.
