why would you want an AGP board? unless you have an existing AGP card right now you should go to PCI-e.

either way, MSI Neo2-f for AGP boards or MSI Neo4-f for PCIe boards. each of them run around 65 bucks. have an opty machine for 225 w/ shipping.

Is it really worth it ? you can wait abit for the new processors to come out
since socket 939 is going to die pretty soon you wont have an upgrade path for the future.
can you also fill in you system specs via the quick links -> edit profile

i would reccomend socket am2. just get the x2 3800 and an agp MSI board with a gig or 2 of ram. also, check to see if you have the proper connectors for ur hard drives. maybe around 300-400 dollers including shipping on the egg.

might be cheaper..
if ur tryin to save your 9600's life span, just switch to pci-e x16, and get a Biostar Tforce 550, its a very reliable mobo with built in oc'ing options to aoutomatically set voltages and all that. and then get a 7600 or a cheaper card, this will suffice for a while. or u could get a single core proc and get the 65nm procs. maybe a 3200? dont really need a last gen 90nm proc now do you?

AM2 doesn't have AGP.

Been looking eveywhere for a good mobo...no luck so I guess I'll just have to replace my X850pro with a PCIe and go for a 939 board I have 2 gigs of OCZ plat ram I also have just bought from newegg 2 months ago any ways. So I guess I'll buy a pcie board just to make is easy to buy

Wouldn't I need like 400ddr2 just to keep under my 400 dallor budget??

omg lol I need to think before I buy

ummmm looking at the am2's now I'm looking at those since I can use my video card with that and use the money I would have used on the new video card for the memory.

what to do :O

Don't blow money trying to keep your AGP system alive. An x850pro and A64 3000+ should be a good match, and should not be bottleneck at all with a little overclock.

Save more money for Conroe (*awaits flames*).

A64 3500+ > X2 3800+ > E6300 > X4 640 > Phenom II N970 > G3220

6800GS > X1950pro > 8800GT > 460GTX > HD6470M > HD7700GHZ
