nice find.

It seems a bit overpriced, maybe for the first couple of months. Truth be told, I don't find any need for quad core since I don't encode video nor render graphics (the only true quad core killer apps). IMHO any Athlon X2 clocked at over 3Ghz is sufficient for today’s work and game play.

That processor isnt even due to be released.

The 9700 was cancelled upon the orginal release of the phenoms.

The 9750 B3 phenom will be released instead. This will retail for £150, which will be in the region of about $230-$240 thereabouts in dollars based on difference in hardware prices between dollars and pounds (I think).

9750 B3
I thought the B3 would still use the 9700 part number and the later B4 with the 45nu would be designated with the 9750.

Nah, AMD is using the XX50 identifier with the Processors based on B3.

45nm I havent a clue about. They might renovate their entire naming scheme for that.

Phenom 10000? LOL

The price maybe a little high, but since I already have a AM2+ MB it woiuld be alot cheaper for anyone already running this hardware to buy the Phenom.
