I'd check that again, I don't think I've ever seen a 2900+. Find out what core is has (barton?) and what the stock multi and fsb is.

2900's were custome made for the hp i believe but im not 100% sure if it was hp. but it was deffenetly special made for a prebuilt computer company. u can find them on newegg ocasionaly being sold as oem they have no warranty

Correct, they are originnaly made for the likes of HP and Compaq. Be careful to find if your BIOS supports them, some Asus MBs do!
