Don't worry too much about the temps, Lower vcore to 1.6 or so and get a nice fan for it. Still overheats? Meh! My 2800's at like 34 idle with a volcano 12. Might wanna get one

Your 2800 is a Barton and one can not compare a Thunderbird with a Barton no matter what cooling you have.

Bartons run cool on stock. Thunderbirds run hot any anything air.
