Yeah, room temps will influence it a bit. My house is 68F during the day and around 63 at night. Aluminum should give you better temps. You might want to consider upgrading your case fans to Vantec Tornadoes or Panaflos. If they lower temps at full speed, get a rheobus for your fans and turn it down until your temps start going up too high.

well, my cpu was at 50c with the lid off and case fan blowing outwards. switched off pc, turned fan around to blow air inwards, tidied up the wires (took 5mins), checked temp as soon as windows loaded and it recorded 40c cpu and 27c ram. marvellous

need to sort out my airflow, only got one case fan and thats blowing onto the ram and cpu. gonna put fan at front of case blowing in and one fan at back blowing out, should be decent enough airflow. 45c, keep ya posted. signing off
