well, how much do you want to spend (or is it for your friend? your post confused me a little)

also i suppose its going to be a gaming rig so you will want something that will oc well and is of good quality.

something like an Nvidia 7800GT or 7900GT and an AMD 3200+venice processor

an alternative to the processor could be a 3700+ san diego or maybe an opteron (not sure on which though)

also the graphics card, if you want it to be cheaper get the 7800 but the 7900's run at similar speeds to 7800GTX's so i would reccomend one of these

I would go with a 3700+ San Diego as these are incredible little overclockers and have good performance non-oced as well. The 7900gt is really an incredible buy right now. It will play almost any game out on max settings and is only a little over $300. In terms of performance a 7900gt is slightly better than a 7800GTX which costs about $400-500.

i'd get a 6800GT, a turion would be a nice little overclocker, but I wouldnt make a turion rig if its your only rig. A turion is more of an experimental type rig, not a always stable rig.

I'd get a 3700 sandy or an opteron 146 or 148.

The board you said you were usingn was socket 754 so your best bet will be

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103606

If so that will be your best bet with the CPU and the 7600gt you linked is a very nice card. GL to ya
