I just build a new rig and i am new to oc(never done it manualIy).I am able to oc to 4.6 ghz with 23 mulitipler and run prime95 for over an hour with no problem at all.
when I increase the multipler to 23.5 (4.7ghz) at around 1.45v, I am able to run prime95 for like 20 mins till one of the core stopped working. The max core temp was around 61'c.well, i kept that setting and play game for whole day yesterday and my temp never pass 41'c. my question is that is it ok for keep the setting even one of the core failed after 20 mins of prime95? Also, for my setting, is 4.6-4.7 around the right spot for the oc? any advice that i need to change for my setting?thanks

It really depends on what you consider to be a stable OC. Most here will say no thats not at all stable. 4.6-4.7 is a good OC for it. You can try increasing your voltage a bit to stabilize that core.
