How do I use my cards at their full potential?

With BF3, have you tried disabling or enabling Vsync?

I don't recommend running your cards at 16x / 4x. Even if there is slight minimal differences between each bandwitdh.

I bought a motherboard (http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z77A-G45.html), but it was defective. I've returned it.
Tried enabling and disabling. It depends on the map, some maps work well with vsync, and some don't.
Waiting for your reply smile.gif
Performance you lose in bandwidth from jumping one card down from x8 to x4 is so small in terms of frames per second. Don't make him spend $120+ for a few FPS? Or am I wrong?

Slickdeal: I find dat.

So, I'll keep my motherboard and use the two cards since they perform very good.
The problem is problems with CrossFire in Battlefield 3 / Other games.

Should I just wait for new drivers to fix this, or are there any tweaks I can apply?

Use radeonpro? What sort of problems to be honest? This is not 12.11.

Sorry, micro stuttering. Random FPS drops from ~110 FPS to ~50 FPS (Ultra Settings).
Sometimes I have good frame rates (Over 60) but it looks like lag.

You are right, you won't loose noticeable performance at 16x / 4x.

But my point of vue is: if you decide to go multi-gpu, you choose a motherboard able to accomplish your goal.

I would perfer a Single GPU (HD 7970 or GTX 680) at full 16x performance than a HD 7850 Crossfire at 16x / 4x. Especially until june - july driver fix.

Few differences here, enarge the pic

CF and SLI both have micro stutter problems ... It's not just CF but yes there isn't a fix yet for microstutter but have you tried 13.5 Beta?

i've probably misread. Even so, a single strong GPU will always be better than multiple mid range card. Isn't that the case?

Would you think 2x 580s would lose to a 680? 7850's are comparable.

I'm just saying that given driver issues and motherboard issues it is always easier to work with a single GPU. Not saying 7850 is a weak card but its just not worth all the trouble IMO...
