sata 3.0GB/S is the maximum throughput the drive can support.
sata II are the standard features that the drive support like ncq/staggeredspin up/ whatever else.

there are sata 150 drives out there with sataII features, and there are sata3.0 drives without sataII features.

OH! I read your post the wrong way and took it to say that SATA II and SATA3GB/s are two totally different things, like coaxial and DVI cables lol!
