Are those the KS's? Those drives are known to run hot. My quad pack also runs at a nice 50C when I give them a full workout. Nothing to worry about; it seems they can handle it easily. Great drives, but a bit hot, which is another reason to keep them in the bottom chamber.

I've got the one tricool in the middle of the bottom chamber on high now and its dropped my HDD temps to 43'c idle, i'd say with another fan infront of them I can get them down to mid 30's. Putting the tricool on high hasn't really changed my perceiveble system noise at all.

Hey, looked into the antec p150, and can't handle the white. So looked at the antec SOLO, and am wondering if anyone has tried to fit a 8800GTX in one of either of these. If not, I may just stick with the P180, cause it still looks the best.

Leimrod.

Have you had any luck with a fan in front of the drives at the bottom? I wanna put a fan there but am curious what will fit. My two Maxtors are getting pretty hot down there however the PSU is very cool and maybe revs up to 1000rpm.

^^ Ive got that same problem, trying to fit a fan in front of the drives at the bottom there, for temp Ive got a 120mm AC silent out infront, but now the case door doesnt close fully - LOL!

I have 2 KS drives (both 2500KS) down there and temps start to jump up with the fan in the middle, so I took out the middle fan and it cools the upper HDDs now.

Id be interested in seeing how anyone can better fit a fan in front of the drives in the bottom chamber there (dremel req`d) and what fits (I hope a silverstone will fit as I just ordered 2 of them...)

I ziptied a 92mm fan on the inside of the bottom chamber. It just fits such that the hdd bracket can still slide in it's place. It does help me cool the quad pack (now down to two hdd's, since rig two 'borrowed' the other pair)

I dont really wanna go that route due to some of my wiring already goes thru there and helps me keep it clean. If I can just get one up front I will be happy.

I think I found the solution! This fan will fit up front as a 92mm fan fits just fine also I checked a minute ago. The reason I dont use the 92mm is its a Silverstone. Also I think most of us can control this fan with your mobo's thru speedfan I know all the DFI mobo's do.
