CD looks great! got a couple questions.

happen to have a link to that case? looks similar to an armor. (the bare chassis) but better.

also will you please do a few memory bandwidth tests? the ones released back when.. used only 2 dimm's instead of 4. i would like to see what its fully capable of with all the dimm's filled. i was fairly upset not to see that in the previous review. why would they even bother without using all the dimm's?

I may purchase 2 for SLI possibly.
They are still going for over $100 more than the standard 8800GTs & most places in the US are OOS.

Dat right there is a Soldam Windy XR-1 that CD got from a member here straight from Japan.

Comparing it to an Armor is an absolute insult after you see the thread that was linked...

It's like comparing a Geo Metro to a Rolls Royce.

CD, next time move the penguin a little further back from the seXah builds.. he made a mess

That heat retainer on the SB has got to come off. It just looks soo un-CyberDruid like.

i was in no way meaning to insult, i was only refering to the layout based on the motherboard view. it is more than obvious the quality and craftsmanship is far beyond that which thermaltake can achieve.

the quality and lack of plastic on the front alone makes it far superior to that of the armor. i would trade for one of those any day of the week.

any places in the states that sells it? shipping would be a killer

o lol

You guys make my day.

No I don't know how much it costs (white lie)

No you cannot get a Soldam anywhere I know of. It took 4 months to get mine and almost $700 smackers after shipping etc. and that was after gtting some special favors ( like air transport via a friend on JAL)

Yes I will run benchmarks.

No I won't reveal the benchmarks yet.

Thanks for all the salacious remarks...I live for that...I am fueled by your drool...

All those good feelings....they're gone

that must be quite the case for 700$...

Most who don't understand don't care and most who do understand also don't care.
The only people with a problem are the people who don't understand but still care, but then that's the problem with most topics these days.

I have three X2. One is in Mistress Quickly one is in Black Knight and one is in Iandh's possesion as he is making me a waterblock. He came down with the flu and had to take off work so no ETA on the second X2 that is going in Black Knight

TBH the QX9650 GA-X38 rig is getting much higher marks in Futuremark. etc...so until I get SkullTrail optimized it really would not be a fair display of what this rig is about.

I plugged in the Open Box X2 and it works...but the FPS in 3D06 are very low...so I have to do some more tsting to see if this card is crippled...I'll run some marks and swap cards with Mistress and see if thre is any difference.

That Soldam is dead sexy!

You should try and become the one and only US Distro. I'd buy one regardless of the price. <-(I'd donate newb blood for your dark 3dmark06 performance boosting rituals)

That's a very enticing offer.

I would have to figure out how too have them shipped at a reasonable rate. It would almost be easier to go to Japan and get one directly.
