I don't think i7 is justified. There's 1% of games who takes advantages of dual/quad core. And I haven't seen a task taking 100% of a quad CPU power in XP or Vista.

Games are slow to develop and even then, it does not require a really fast CPU, but an expensive video card...

BTW guy, what is this and what is it for ?

Because currently with my sig rig im still IDE, not sata. And I'm using an External USB HDD to backup.

I don't know heck about Sata and E-sata

long L shape is sata power , little L shape is for data. Looks like 2 in 1 power adapter deal.

alright thanks.

Things looks much more convenient than 6 years ago

Well, I think we have a winner here, the GA-EP45-UD3P !

I've seen Corsair 750 and 850 watts at 134$, is it worth it ?

I would go for the Gigabyte EP45-UD3P, Q9550, Corsair 750W (850W out now?) if you don't mind non-modular, and 4GB Mushkin DDR2-1000. As for the card, I would get a single, more powerful card for now, whatever your budget for that part is, and then look into crossfiring THAT later on down the line. Starting off with two "smaller" cards on a new build just seems like a waste.

a 4870 is $200. why not save the spare slot?

and what is the budget?

and why an Antec 300 and not a Nine Huindred or a Nine Hundred Two?
