Could you maybe swap out that 4870 with a 4890 for just a bit more?
For example:

That one looks great but you might need to wait a little bit for it to get back in stock.

Are you crazy? That 4870 1gb is on the same level of performance as the 216 version and cheaper. Also he can crossfire on that board later, whereas he won't be able to SLI.

Think I'm gonna have to stay with the 4870!

Drivers get updated.

I'd say go 4890, then get another, then another, then another.
Drivers right now for 4890 crossfire seem bugged, though.

4870, then another, and another, and another.

600 is enough for crossfire.

Yea that is a pretty good price on that 4870 but what I linked to was a 4890 not a 4870. You could go with that 4870 if you are impatient like me or you could wait a bit for that 4890 to get back in stock spend a little bit more and go with the 4890 with a non-stock cooler.

PSU wise, I run by whole rig and i also run sometimes a 3850 in crossfire and my PSU handles it fine, no problem at all, thats with both cards and my CPU overclocked too.
