Hey Guys/Gals,

I have been out of the computer arena for over a year and need an upgrade.

Budget is $2000 including tax.

I need everything except speakers/keyboard/mouse/monitor. So, just the system itself.

It needs to be upgradeable and be high-end and, nice and OC'able (as usual) Ohh... and QUIET so that I can still hear a pin drop! Show me what you can whip up!

Cheers~
GM

EDIT: Here's what I need:

Case
Mobo
CPU
CPU Cooler
RAM
Video Cards
Sound Card
PSU
Hard Drives
Optical Drives

Here is an AMD build. Total comes out to 1203, add 2 5870's at 400 each and it comes out to 2000. With the case, fans, and cpu hsf i chose, it should be really quiet. To make it more quiet use these guys.

Or you can go with one 5870 and save 400 bucks.

Ouch 850 Watts? Way overkill

And I'm not too sure about that CPU cooler.

Do you have a micro center near you ? If so:
CPU (or $289 @ newegg)
GPUx4
MOBO
RAM
HDD
PSU
CASE

because I'm bored I'm not even sure 4 GPUs can be utilized before the CPU is obsolete however, It would be really fun to have maybe not as quiet as you wanted

If you are considering my build you could go with this CASE for a quieter approach and maybe consider two of the RAM kits for 12GB total GOOD LUCK

Hmm,

How about something normal... like with 2 GPU's max etc? Im looking for processing power here xD

Remember... QUIET

Plenty of REP to go around to those which put together builds!
