Both boards are pretty solid, I'd go for ASUS because I've only had good experiences with 7 boards out of 7, Gigabyte it's more like 4 out of 5 haha.

For the case, the HAF 932 is pretty good! I loved it, it's really quiet and has really good airflow. Also, it has free shipping! A big plus!

I think you're pretty much set with everything, to order everything, you might want to combine all the "free shipping" items together and the rest together, because I think if you add a non free-shipping you might end up paying it anyways. But I can't confirm...
Thanks for the advice about how to order the different items. That's a smart move - to combine all the "free shipping" items for one order, and the rest for a separate order. Better safe than sorry, right?

I also appreciate your input on the case and mobo.

I'll update the thread as the parts come in.

Thank you, everyone!

Grand total: $934.33 (w/o GPU)

I'm going to use my 7800 GTX 256MB GPU for now.

I'd like to wait and see what Nvidia and ATI have up their sleeves.

No harm in waiting to get the next best GPU, right?

Went with this GPU.

Think that's about it for now. Will update the thread as I move along.

Thanks again for all the help, everyone!

WHOA!

I definitely didn't have THAT in mind when I purchased the GPU. Haha. Your post made me laugh when I saw all those monitors. That's a serious set up, but I wouldn't enjoy it 'cause of all those borders separating the displays.

Beh, just wait a bit for samsung frame-less displays and you'll like it more...

I use a dual display at work and although I though I would be annoyed, it's actually pretty useful

For 500$ I think you should have went with a GTX 480

Although yours will trump it when it comes to 6 displays

Just mention in your sig rig that you have the Eyefinity 6 edition... bragging rights lol

I hear ya, dude. I used to be Nvidia all the way since back in the 7800 GTX days, but things have changed. I read how the 480's get really hot and how they consume so much power. I'm not one that likes dealing with heat. Especially in the summer... my room gets super warm. I'll see how things go when my card arrives. I'm pretty stoked 'cause I started out with ATI when I first got into computers. It's going to be interesting coming back to ATI. I hope it all works out.

I was scared when I got my 3870 and it was hitting 110C... in the winter (we can't afford heating so we heat at 18-19C...)
But I hope you'll be happy with that card, it'll also be really cool if you can one day afford 3 monitors... then 5.... then 6
