ordered a window top for the TJ from MODPC.UK.

my illuminated midplate is being made at the moment. I am attempting it using the following parts:

1 sheets of 3mm opal (white 25% transparent) acrylic for top.
1 sheet of 10mm clear acrylic for the middle sandwich.
1 sheet of Mirror acrylic for the bottom sheet to fully reflect all light upwards. (this stuff looks awesome)
1 bitfenix LED strip.

I have the top and bottom sheets cut around 20mm wider to house the LED strip down the side.

As some of you probably have noticed, I have a few different fittings in my build. I am looking at changing them all to match and I am undecided on whether black BP or chrome BP will look best.

I am also considering changing the tubing.

What do you guys think?

UPDATE time!!!

I got my Acrylic back today for my illuminated mid plate. I first tested to see how it lit up outside the case and found that the light was strong around the sides but not as great towards the middle.

I wasnt discouraged so I put the panels into the base of the case to do a test run. Pleased to say that the results are awesome!

Note - this is with the panels just sitting on top of eachother and no border at all to help encase the light.

Tell me what you guys think smile.gif

Looks good, maybe a little bright though.

Could just be the photos.

its just the photo.

it was taken on the iphone so it really makes it look overdone and a little bluish.

in real life it is quite white and not as over powering.

I am happy to get some more of this design cut and send to people if there is enough interest?

I'd take you up but I've already bought a custom midplate for mine. Wouldn't want to cover that up, but, I might, it does look awfully awesome.

I'll have a think about it, it could be done in red, yeah?

could be done in any colour.

Here is an update with pictues of exactly how I did the illuminated mid panel. If anyone is interested in one, I have got my acrylic fabricator to save the design so he can pump out some more.

Enjoy -
