Hello everyone, first post on these forums after browsing them for a while now. Due to changes I have to give up my large Corsair Graphite cased gaming computer and shrink down and build a Mini ATX computer as I just don't have the space anymore. I'm wanting to build a fairly powerful Intel gaming computer, though after being an AMD user for a fair few years now (Although I own a 2011 MacBook Pro) I'm not too clued up on the ins and outs of Intel so some kind advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Case: Bitfenix Prodigy, Midnight Black (PURCHASED)
PSU: Undecided
Motherboard: Gigabyte H77N-WIFI (PURCHASED)
Processor: Intel i5 3570k (PURCHASED)
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 660 TI
RAM: Undecided
Extras: Corsair Hydro H60 CPU Cooler
Drives: Samsung 830 256gb SSD (PURCHASED)

As you can see at the moment I'm undecided on a fair few things but if anybody has any suggestions then don't hesitate to say anything.

Will update as much as I can, thank you for reading, I hope you enjoy! thumb.gif

If you want to build a gaming system, i would recommend a Z77 motherboard, and not a H77. The ASUS Mini ITX board, with the power phases "growing" out if it, is pretty amazing i hear.

For a gaming system, you won't have need for an i7 processor, an i5 3570k would be more than enough smile.gif

And for the love of god, throw in a few more bucks and get an H100 instead biggrin.gif

Otherwise, looking solid, hoping to see some pics soon smile.gif

For gaming, as long as your CPU runs the frame rates you feel comfortable playing with, it's good.

Been looking around today and I think I'm gonna get the MSI GTX660 TI and the i5-3570k. Still unsure on a PSU, RAM and been looking at a few motherboards but they're quite pricy, any suggestions?

I just got the Gigabyte Z77N-WIFI and so far, it seems solid. I havent overclocked yet, so I cant speak for that. If you dont play to OC, get an H77 board and a non K processor. Its still going to be powerful. I am not sure how the heat in this case will be, but an H100 should help keep the heat out of the case.

Decided on the majority of the parts and going to go ahead and order them

i5-3570K (was £149.99 yesterday but has gone up £20 so going to wait)
MSI GTX 660 TI
Gigabyte Z77N-WIFI
8gb Corsair Vengance

Also forgot to mention that I already have a Samsung 830 240gb SSD.

Motherboard has been purchased, just trying to get Amazon to price match Aria and potentially looking to purchase the GTX 660 TI as well today.

EDIT: Purchased the CPU from Aria, if Amazon do price match by any chance I'll cancel my order and Purchase through Amazon. Really excited to get this built!
