Haha, so zip ties will magically solve my problems! awesome, but I'm not sure if they will fit. Oh and there is no "out of the way" when I have these cables running over and through the motherboard

I'm not yet done with this project but I am close, mostly there are just finishing touches left. Just a small update (sorry its been awhile) and there's more to come!

I've updated the first post with some new pictures! (also cleaned it up a bit)
Here are some of the pictures that didn't make the cut:

My next goal is to fix this mess of cables

Also I have this to free up the two usb3 ports on the outside (one of which I plan to use for external storage)

The one I have is an older version and doesn't have island style keys

looks good but does it all fit together?

No and here's why:

I'm thinking that redoing the bracket might help

On a side note my NES isn't working. It's assembled minus the case and power switch (I'm using a bit of wire and some gator clips to connect the power pins which should be essentially the same). I know it has power because the led lights up but there is not output to the TV. I am using a RF switch, I know it worked before I disassembled (got pissed at ghosts and goblins) and I had put a new 72 pin connector on it previously, I've also tried just cleaning everything and noticed that the were was some wearing on the motherboard contacts but nothing major. Any help or advice on either my build or this problem would be greatly appreciated

Also I'd forgotten about audio, does anyone know something like a 3inch extender I could use?
Suggestions needed!

Well at least I'm now confident that those tiny rad lying here on my desk can cool my components.
I actually have the same rad(s) and the same pump as you biggrin.gif

To burst your bubble I saw someone building a nes with a 3770k although it wasn't water cooled and as I recall didn't have a dedicated gpu.

But really I've been looking al over the place for reviews on those rads before putting them in a loop all I could find where watercooled playstations and xbox'es.
Maybe I'll order another one so I can go 2 passive and one active of those it is either that or 2 active.(with that case or yours you could house 10 of those xD

Btw the pci-e extender you used is really fragile as I killed 3 of those already don't bend it too much as the solder joint will come off. (I only use high end ones costing 8 dollars a piece such a waste if you can get a working one for 1 dollar you know.)
