Dang, all hope is lost without mods then I suppose, any other suggestions for watercooling friendly cases that aren't too "plasticy" ?

Hey,
I think if you would mod a 240 fan-grill on the verry right edge of the top than it would fit (if you don`t use Dominator RAM or so;) with my vengeance LP it works great!

Great watercooling cases that will support a 240rad (With fairly minimalistic looks):
-D series from Corsair 550/600/800D
-600T from Corsair
-Fractal Design Core 3000
-Fractal Design Arc Mini (I'm *pretty sure*)
-Fractal Design Arc Midi
