I always go for best single card over sli any day. Runs smoother better scaling and less heat etc.
Unfortunately TitanX is only using DDR5x and that will impact the performance and for £1200 plus its not worth it for me.
1080 ti is going to be best bang for bucks and should be in around £800

True a single card would run immensely less hot and be easier cool I am really tempted with Titan X I'm shocked it didn't come with HBM2 though.

I would wait for 1080Ti but I've waiting already since Late April/Early May to do my build I really don't want have wait much longer and we both know 1080Ti won't be out till at least December.

If you can afford to drop £1200 then go for it but I suspect it will be September before you can get hold of one.
I personally cant see me needing more than a 1080 let alone a Titan, 4k is not for me at this present time.

It will still be cheaper than 1080 SLI which was what I was going for originally so saving some money there.

Honestly I didn't think 4K was for me but seeing as at present I haven't even got a 1440p monitor I might just jump from 1080P to 4K. Not sure if a single Titan X will do that or not.

December is optimism for it to launch by else it will cut to much into the Titan profit lines. Do find it funny people are saying the 1080Ti will be faster than the Titan X. Titan X under water should be a pretty solid performance.

Great news about your case, will be interesting to see the benchmarks for Titan X why they used the same name im not sure, its abit confusing, Titan X10 prob would of been better.

Well the 1080 does about 40-50 fps on most games in 4K it's not a big leap to think a Titan X could do 55-65 in most games in 4K.

Pair that with a G Sync 4K monitor and think you would have a pretty good gaming experience at 4K
