FX 8350 can do extreme multitasking, IDK about i7 980x if it can beat i7 3770k in multitasking since FX 8350 hands down beats i7 3770k in it because of its architecture...

That's too bad. If only post wasn't so expensive, I would have sent you a few Xeon stickers that I have laying around.

A lot of the benchmarks you find on the net are screwed... like the 2600k vs 980x gaming benches I found.. made me skeptical at first.. now it just makes me angry... like people comparing a 3770k to an 8350 in cf/sli setups. There is a difference lol. BTW running 7970s in cf.. going from pcie3.0 to 2.0 as well. I think with a trip or quad the lane bw would be more noticeable

This post will be in my sticky ones! Thank's for the info!

I think this is custom, and mostly depends of the cooling of the case and heatsink. My EX58-UD4 North Bridge runs at 28 Celsius with an increased voltage of 1,3 V instead of 1,2 V.

Aha, i can't wait for AMD excavator as well!!! Actually deeply i wish the AMD excavator would be massive upgrade from bulldozer or piledriver, 33 % at the very least, which would make it faster than Nehalem of course, since that would make my 990X motherboard purchase, which i used for benching FX 6300, a very future proof deal with bios updates. However i do not believe this is going to happen.

EX58-UD4 28C only? I'm not sure if i'm reading that right ... My UD5 SB runs at 51C ... But i think that's because it's the NB temp, SB is about 42C i think

I recently just had a bad experience.. my waterpump is high pressured... and the pump failed... started to hang..but as it was doing it the cpu was running dry metal to metal overheated and got the tube hot enough to pop off when the waterpump took it's last breathe and popped right off.... water went everywhere.. luckily i just flushed it and only ran distilled water... after a few minutes with my heatgun and a fan it powered right back up (the mobo) but i have no idea about the cpu because i'm awaiting a new pump... for now on using clamps.. or going with a compression fitting.. glad my pc turned it self off at 90c

I love you, life!

=/

Makes me want to RMA my 980X. That's with HT on, right? I can barely get 4.5 stable at under 1.42V
