Basically looking to upgrade the board with a Graphics card or a cpu. Which is the best that will run on this MB? A6 currently and no card. $200 budget so one or the other. Thank you

It depends on what you are doing, but If you upgrade to a A10-6800k http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113331 You will get a fast quad core with improved graphics since the integrated graphics on it is much better than the A6.

However, if you are really wanting to improve graphics for gaming, then a gpu would be a better idea right now. A HD 7870 or R9 270X would be good. Though the A6 may bottle neck it just a bit. This one is a good deal http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131510 Heck with that 7870 at only $115 with rebate you could also get a athlon 760k http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113348 for $90 and be just a bit over your 200 mark. or get the 750k for 10 bucks less if you can't spend that much up front.

my board specs say it has3 PCI-E 2.0 x16 interfaces with AMD Dual Graphics, Eyefinity and CrossFire support, while that card is a 3.0. will there be install issues you think? I'm way out of the loop on tech these days. 2.0 and 3.0 slots are the same or the 7870 is backwards compatiable? sorry if these are silly questions. hate to buy somthing and find it dosnt fit

It will fit and work just fine. Really the main difference between 3.0 and 2.0 is that 3 has up to twice the bandwidth. However, most cards don't even use all the bandwidth of a 8x pci-e 2.0 slot. Short answer is that as long as its PCI-E it will fit and work in your board. thumb.gif
