Everyone is saying to wait to get a DX10 card... why wait price drop

just asking because christmas is coming up and i really want a 8800GTS....

please help?!

The 8800GTS/GTX is a DX10 card. Prices for those cards will soon fall especially when newer versions are released. However it would be a waste of money to buy another DX9 card now mate.

Well I just got the X1950xt. this card is good for me till PCI-E2.0 , AM3, New and better DX10 cards. mayb even DD3 ram. Also i have longtime to save for all those item.

The ATI DX 9 cards are better than the nVidia cards because of the AA + HDR stuff on the x1*** models.

HOWEVER: The 8800 supports both of those and DX 10. therefore, being a better buy
