No point in comparing it to the 900$ on ebay 7800gtx 512mb card.

That card is dead, you cant buy em. The x1900 will be around 550$ and will actually be instock, so hats off to ATI for once.

ATI can not afford to screw up again, and good thing that they can provide a hard launch before the G71, or they may just have turned belly up and gone 3DFX.

Cards are so incredibly fast now. I am still gonna wait till a single card gets around 8k in '06. By then my X800 will really be old and I think the update should tide me over for Dx10 (though, i still am reluctant about that as well)

Wouldn't surprise me if you see these new cards pulling 8k in 3DMark06.

It wouldn't surprise me either, but I really think that they will score around 7k stock with an FX57, IMO.

Some forums have already gotten their paws on the 1900xt's. There are 3dm06 scores out there

This is a bit old, there are new benchies but im not sure what the scores were

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=84940

Not quite 8k but not bad at all.
