I think you would benefit more from the 7600gt as its got newer tech such as SM3 which games these days are starting to use alot more.

I would say get the 7600GT - it may be more expensive and 'a lesser card' but it will be alot more future proof. With HDR and SM3, games will look better, even at lower resolutions - compared to a medium to high res game with out these.

well look at it this way guys, the 7600GT (CO) is the same price range as a ATI 850XT which beats the GTO2 Stock and if oc'd like the GTO2 unclocked aswell. its the same price range its actually a bit cheaper, and its got newer shader unit 3.0, higher clock speeds, much more future proof, and may not overclock aswell as the 8xx series but is much more worth for the money. If i were you id rather even get the 850XT dual slot card and overclock that like mad to beat even a XTPE.

not to mention that 7600GT is 256MB like the 850.. lol that cleans up that.
go for the 7600GT you wont be disapointed, i have the exact same choice after looking at it for a long time i came up with the 7600GT for many reasons, even though its dual slot the XT, the 7600GT cools much better. btw this is the 1 im going to mostlikely get.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130283
