I've decided to go ahead and do a fresh install, with both my SSD (C:) and HDD (D:). I want to keep a few save files/video clips/pictures/etc.. If I recall correctly, I think what I should do is format the D: drive and then put the stuff on there, then keep the D: drive unplugged while installing Windows. The issue with this, though, is that my Users folder is on my D: drive at the moment.
Any ideas on what the best course of action is?
Why would you format the hard drive?
What I would do is just put anything you want to keep on the hard drive, unplug it, install Windows 8 fresh (including formatting the solid state drive). When you get to the desktop, shut down, plug the hard drive back in, and then configure Windows 8 to use that Users folder that's on the hard drive.
Cool. I should be here all night, so go for it!
Of course, everyone else will be here too. :)
