i recently reformatted with raid0 and was disappointed with my hdtach results
(83mb/s read, 170 burst)
so i attempted to get some newer raid drivers for the SB600 chipset
(wonky install to say the least)
when i rebooted, i had 2 1TB raid arrays to choose from and both were nonfunctional...............in a panic i went into the fast builder raid utility and deleted this new second array in the hopes that it would solve my problem....
same error, and the single array is not working....bios used to recognise array....only says "harddrive" now.....so i attempt a vista install cd repair to no avail.......
....and then observed that my second drive wasn't assigned to ANY array
i resigned myself to deleting the old array and starting over again, but forgot to put the dvdrw in boot#1, and to my shock VISTA BOOTED UP
i'm SO relieved and although vista took about 2 mins to boot (holding for suspense) it's running fine now and my burst speeds improved to 201.6mb/s
Yeah.....i still play WC3 TFT, so what....
