You know that little hole ontop of the harddrive that says DO NOT COVER?

.....that might take a few weeks to kill it though..or months.....or that hole may do nothing at all and this would all be a colossal waste of time and my diabolical laugh.

Take a hammer to them, is the absolute best way to make sure no one is getting the data on them.

Just a FYI, I will not be re-using them.

Somehow I don't think ill be using a whole 8GB XD

Is.. it safe to open them to the platter? i thought i read somewhere it poses a health risk.... if not, HAMMER TIME!

With my old hard drive i...

Hit with with a sledgehammer 10 times

Burnt it in a small fire

Took it straight from the hot fire, to a bucket of water

Ran magnets over it

Hit it with an iron bar about 20 times across the garden

Then dropped a HUGE rock onto it, with the hard drive already on another hard rock
