I want to silence my two Spinpoint P80SD's. I was looking at a couple hard drive enclosures and wondered if anybody has any stories or opinions on the matter. Here's a couple of enclosures I was lookin at.

I have 2 HDD in cheap USB enclosures I got from CompUSA and I have to say that noise is almost zero. Plus I can take the drive and hook it up to any other of my computers. I think it is a good idea.

If you are planning to boot from the enclosed HDD< make sure your BIOS support this feature.

If you are going to use SATA HDDs, you might have to look around for the right enclosure. Most of the ones I have seen are IDE.
