I haven't noticed any additional input lag with D3D overrider in any of the games I play compared to vsync off. I can't say for sure, since I don't know of a method of testing that. But according to the anandtech article, there is theoretically little to no input lag due to triple buffering.
What I can tell you for sure is that there is no performance hit when using forced triple buffering (Guild wars 2/Unigine Heaven benchmarked with FRAPS).
So unless you are playing at 120 FPS, there is no reason not to have it on. If you are playing at around 60 FPS or lower, it's superior to adaptive vsync in every way. It is also superior to no vsync in every way and superior to frame rate limiting in every way.
