Droid X is a great phone physically, excepting the digitizer. Three Droid X's in my family and all three have the same issue in the same part of the screen (left side, roughly an inch above the middle horizontal axis). Mine in particular also has a shot battery; it's primarily a Pandora streamer / XDA dev app reader but is sorta failing at those since I can't leave it off the charger for longer than a few minutes.
Am I the only one willing to sacrifice another 1 or 2mm thickness for a bigger battery? Not terribly fond of the Razr MAXX HD but dat bat life...
2600 mAh is already a really big battery, But I too would preferred the phone to remain at the same thickness as S3(8.6mm instead of 7.9mm) and gain some more battery capacity.
You know, I really love how so many people online and Irl love to bag on the iPhone for making the same exact thing every time and "overcharging" customers for it. Yet when Sammy does the exact same thing, nobody gives a damn. Consistency they say. What a bunch of bs. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Sammy, but I really do not understand the Apple hate. Best phone so far, is the new HTC One imo.
It's still not pure Android underneath though is it
No, but that doesn't matter "Pure Android" misses some decent features other manufacturers provide.
That's an SGS3. Looks identical to the Nexus... except it has a few Samsung specific features. Runs just as well, too.
Though, I think the key point is that if you don't want to have to modofy your phone to look/act more like stock android, then a Google device is for you... but I much prefer an SD card slot over stock Android. If my GF hadn't insisted we get a Nexus 10... but y'know what womena re like.
