that's cool. but impractical! couple of things:
1. usb flash drives use lower tier flash than ssds and are thus more likely to fail early.
2. if any damage occurs to my usb sticks it's usually a bent/loose plug, not damage to the body.
3. it's really expensive for something that's small and easy to lose.
i'd rather pay 6.6% of the price for a fusty old 1tb 2.5" portable drive. or at most 50% of the price for an external ssd. let's face it, if you had that usb stick you'd carry it around in the box. so it's the same in terms of ruggedness and portability as an external ssd, only the ssd is faster, cheaper, and more reliable.
