I figured, which means they should at least 8 pin it on an AIB. The BIOS editors are an extreme minority, even among 'OCers,' to the general purchasing public and the minority of those who will OC their cards.

I only do it when I have to, or for funsie benchmarks honestly. Otherwise I run stock BIOS with moderate OCs via Trixx.

Now I hope that the RX 480 actually performs better than rumours allude when the NDA lifts.

No, it's 200$ for reference 480

No... he said the RX 480 specifically starts at $199. Which is probably the 4GB version, the 8GB is probably $20-30 more.

Oh I re-read the press release. It's $249 for the 8GB versions I'm guessing and $199 for the 4GB versions.

So if I'd waited nine to ten months (these things are always released a month later in China despite being made here) I would have been able to buy my 290 with less power consumption for less than what I paid for. I'm so sad.

Putting sarcasm aside I am very satisfied with the performance of my 290 that offers near 290X performance due to its factory OC.

Athlon X4 845 paired with one of these is all they need to get better performance than any console.

Higher performance than 390X most likely. Don't quote me on this as this is my assumption, but everything points out to Fury non X Performance.
