The cache bug that affects all quads including the barcelona and phenom quads is fixed and the first fixed b3 stepping chips are going to be available to customers buy servers, which means the phenoms (desktop) will be on sale soon.

Glad to see B3s finally headed our way. Too bad we're going to have to wait longer for higher clocked chips though....

Any news on what this is going to do for performance/OCing ability?

Most who don't understand don't care and most who do understand also don't care.
The only people with a problem are the people who don't understand but still care, but then that's the problem with most topics these days.

I wasn't under the impression that it would improve anything really. I think its just a problem fix.

Well I expected that if the problem was worth fixing then it was having negative effects on the CPU...so if you fix something that had negative effects then you should be positive on something.

This is the problem that kept the Phenom from going above 2.4 Ghz, that's why we just got the 9500 and 9600. This is supposed to help get higher clocks. At least that is how I have come to understand AMD's situation. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
