That does seem like a low score, but until MHill posts his own benchmarks, I dont care what review sites say

I also think 3dMark06 and lower don't run properly on these next-gen video cards, so who knows?

Umm, I got higher than that with a single 8800GT with my dual core chip at roughly the same clock speed.

Heh no pressure then lol

I'll have a spanking new Q9550 to go with them also. Only the best for Mhill.

So... The 9800GTS is the new 8800GTS and the 9800GTS is the new 8800GT?

Why oh why does everyone insist on saving screenshots as Jpegs? It introduces artifacts, and makes making fakes so much easier.

PNG for the sake of all that is good. Jpegs are designed for pictures.

I'm pretty sure it's real because if you click the source there are pictures of the card without the HSF. They revised the PCB layout and it's now as long as the 8800GTX and has two power connectors just like the 8800GTX. I really don't understand why they revised the layout nor do I understand why after all this time we're getting a rehash of the 8-series. If they had planned on this earlier, why bring out the 8-series G92 cards when they could just as easily have crowned them the 9-series in the first place, this would have resolved all of the hating they're now dealing with now. Anyway I cracked open Photoshop and I combined pictures of the 9800GTX, 8800GTX and the G92 8800GTS to compare them.

The Viper likes this.
