Nvidia has answer to HD4000 and it is GT200

Nvidia doesn't talk a lot about their products unlike AMD

AMD exaggerate a lot. Just read what AMD said before they released Phenom and R600. Many people thought that phenom was going to be much faster than Intel products, and many people thought that R600 was going to be much faster than G80. Thats because AMD was exaggerating and lying all the time. Phenom and R600 where delayed many times and they performed much worse than people expected. I'm pretty sure that the same thing will happen for HD4000........
Or like Nvidia have never lied and have never forged their own Benchmarks

Please, no company is innocent. They don't lie, it is hype. Same thing ever company does to sell a damn product.

Nvidia and ATI are just as bad as each other.

Besides, are you a GURU. Do YOU know the GT200 is going to be better, do you know the HD4000 series will suck? Just look at the graph, ATI dominated Nvidia for years. Nvidia have never had the same amount of market share, until lately. What makes you think it wasn't just a stumble?

I am not saying ATI are going to come out on top, in fact from recent events i think Nvidia are ahead of the game.

But no one should certainly be spouting stuff like GT200 is going to pwn all. It is retarded and ignorant and definitely not what this forum needs.

I R Edwud!

QFT.

As said just because ATI are a little behind means NOTHING. Nvidia was getting its ass handed to them by ATI for a long time until now.

ATI has taken a share of Intel's IGPs recently (last year), why it didn't reflect on the graph?

"Alcohol is not the answer."
Milk is not the answer either, but nobody mentions it.

Also notice that, i can only guess, around 2000 when ati is at its peak, there was an equal drop for intel. But looks like nvidia has just been gaining and gaining and gaining. . .

XGI made the Volari...they pulled out of the graphics market though because the Volari sucked. Trident made some pretty nice cards back in the day, they were a little better than S3 (S3 was pretty competitive back then)

The rest..I dunno.

EDIT: I said Rendition made PowerVR, Rendition didn't make PowerVR, Imagination Technologies did.

After all these years I still haven't come up with something worthwhile to put in this area.

I remember when Matrox was the hot thing back in the late 90's. Don't know what the heck happened to them....
