And I can't afford a good camera!
What is wrong with me, lol.
Congrats!! The HD800 is the pinnacle of headphones!!! But its really picky on source amp/dac.

I just built this to pair with my HD800. AND I LOVE IT!!!!

Still need to stain and paint it.

I was always thinking about the HD 800 but I mean for the price they are asking, why not just go full out and get electrostatic headphones.

Was it hard to make? I was looking at a video of assembling Odac/amp and it looked intimidating to me.

This was my first time soldering and all I did is watch a couple YouTube videos and had no problems at all. The Crack sounds so good with the hd800, it definitely rivals $1000+ priced amps at only a fraction of the cost.

This is my new HDMI DAC, the Essence Evolve 7.1 - based on the ESS Sabre32 Reference 9018 chip. My initial response is very pleasing. I actually prefer it to my Xonar Essence ST/H6 and my Firefly 808u. I'm still putting it through its paces though. I will post an informal review of it. thumb.gif

P.S. It came with 2 Blu-ray Audio disc with 5.1 24bit/96 khz TrueHD mixes and 2 channel 24bit/192 khz options. thumb.gifthumb.gif

I must apologize...I was informed that this Dac doesn't contain the ES9018 DAC chip. The salesman/marketing rep was given false information. However - it still performs quite admirably and has supplanted my ST/H6.

It won't die. Actually it will if I keep making it overload but so far it's been alright to use after forced shutdown
