Its kind of funny so i want to know anybody else has the same thing.

I had my i7 930 D0 overclocked to 4.0ghz which needed 1.32V to be stable. BUT my temps went over 80C , i wasn't really comfortable with that. So i backed down the overclock to 3.8 which only needs 1.225V, it never exceeds 70C. That is a HUGE jump in voltage for 4ghz, is that even normal lol?

Same thing for me, my 930 required 1.216v for 4.0Ghz but when I bumped it to 4.2GHz it required 1.296v(in CPU-Z).

Yes it's normal. It means that you're hitting the "wall" and you won't be able to push it much more
