Socket 775. Lots of good Socket 775 boards out there. One of the best is the Gigabyte EP45-UD3L

you should look for "Asus" or "Gigabyte" ... of the P45 flavor

EP45-UD3 is a safe bet if you like Gigabyte.. otherwise a P5Q series would be a great choice too

Hey,
kaise ho?
You're not going to get any of the good LGA 775 p45 chipset ones anymore over here in India.
You can get the EP45T-UD3LR but its a DDR3 one. Very good board indeed.

For some light overclocking a G41 should suffice.

G41 is puke though... I would rather go all the way back to a solid 965P mobo before a G41.. but thats just me.

*p5b-dlx is an ol'school mobo of the 965p flavor that will do over 600mhz FSB

I agree with the g41 being bad, but there is no way he can get a 965 or a p45 here in India, leaving the EP45TUD3LR.

And I dont think he's going to settle in for a second hand.
