What is this?
This is a new event we're trying to start up, both to promote Folding@Home, and to see what OCN's Intel users are capable of. Primarily, this will be a contest for people with Intel CPUs who would like to start Folding, and have a bit of competitive fun with other like-minded people.
The idea is you'll all use this thread to trash talk each other, work on optimising your Folding@Home set up to get the most out of it, and then think about moving on to the big leagues of OCN Folding competitions. " rel="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/wink.gif">
Is it so "insane" I won't understand it? O_o
Not at all. The system is quite simple:
• Once you're signed up and one of the event co-ordinators approved you, your points will begin to be tallied.
• The points are reset every two weeks, so you can use the first "round" to set up your clients, and then the next one to actually challenge for the win.
• If you go through two events (four weeks) without posting any points, you're removed from the stats. Along with new users coming in, we hope this will keep the competition fresh, with new users coming in to compete at a constant rate.
What's in it for me?
You mean aside from beating people? Well, if you've ever been interested in Folding, or have ever considered trying it out, this is the perfect time to do it. You'll not only have a couple of Folding Editors here to help you out with any issues, but you'll also be competing against people in the same situation, so you'll all - hopefully - learn from each other.
How do I get started?
Here are a few links you can take a look at:
Who can sign up?
Since we'd like to keep this to new, in-experienced Folders, to give everyone a fighting chance, there are two requirements:
• You must have at least one rig with an Intel CPU.
• You cannot already be an OCN Folder (or have been Folding for less than two weeks).
If you meet both requirements (and we'll be checking ), use this sign up link:

I almost exclusively use a rubber. The times I have done it mechanically kind of ruined the moment for me.
Only because you're hot. If you weren't hot, it would be a different story.
Inside the little silver chip are these little hamsters that build cities. Some hamsters use strong pillars yet some hamsters use crappy pillars-- The difference between Intel and AMD.
Edit: Unless I'm completely wrong, I started folding 16 February?
