I really want to upgrade, soon, but this waiting is killing me. My question is, should I wait (is it worth the little more wait?) or should I go ahead and buy Sandy Bridge? Is Ivy Bridge going to be a big improvement from Sandy Bridge, such as at least 10% more frames in games, etc.?

IT'S A TARP!

Very little difference in games, Ivy has lower power draw. If you can get a inexepnsive Sandy Bridge then go for it.

I was originally going to wait for Ivy Bridge to come out, but I just pulled the plunge on a nice Sandy Bridge setup so I can play (w/ good frames) Total War: Shogun 2: FoTS which comes out tomorrow. It all depends on what you feel you need the new system for.

I would say wait because the low power consumption with lower heat also probably gives more overclocking headroom and the newest the technology the better and its like right around the corner
