i just ran super pi and with 1M it took 36 seconds. i have a P4 3.4 prescott @ 3.8. does that sound right for my cpu?

I dunno, it depends on alot of things, i can run 39 seconds at 3.0, but pi is mostly based on ram timings and ram speed

i see! well i have a 1:1 ratio with 1 GB of pc-5300 667, and its got clocks of 4-4-4-9... is that what matters?

That is what my prescott does at 3.7 so i think it is close

Number sounds about right. I ran 37 sec on my Prescott 3.0 @ 3.75.

That sounds about right actually. As said it can depend heavily on the RAM used.
