OCing a E6600 with stock cooling and P5B Del...aftermarket cooler for Christmas

1. 333 X 9 = 2.97 1.3875 Vcore DDR2 666 65C dual Prime95 4hrs

2. 425 X 7 = 2.97 1.35 Vcore DDR2 850 64C

Normal heat load with Photoshop is 51C

Is this heat about average for OC'd 6600 with stock fan/HS?

#1 or #2 better?

1. Why is #1 vcore more than #2?
2. It takes something like orthos to test for stability
3. #2 is better because your RAM is going faster

1. I would like to know....It wouldn't pass Prime95 any lower
2. Isn't Prime95 a good alternative?
3. That's what I thought Sisoft Sandra reports Dhrystone and Whetstone are faster with 333x9, but most everything else is faster with 425X7

orthos is a way to run 2 threads of prime to test dual-core CPUs

your #1 example is a lower FSB, which is why I was wondering about the difference

I've never used orthos, but I understood that running 2 threads of Prime95 was the same as running 2 of orthos? I have it configured to run 1 on core0 and 1 on core1.
