Hey everyone,

Well seems i got a stable oc @ 3ghz on my new e6750 with stock cooling and voltages... not too surprising but pleased none-the-less

Temps with stock cooling are at 61c load and 34c idle.
Question; would that load temp be a little too hot for everday usage? I plan on overclocking it more once i get a new cooler (true or tuniqT)

Nice! Mine was able to get 3.4 on stock volts. These chips are great clockers! As far as temps go I'd say anything above 65°C is getting warm.

Air cooling for sure... Probably a Thermalright Ultra or Tuniq Tower

I'd like to get the Tuniq but i'm not sure if it will fit my case

Case fitting shouldn't be a problem. Your board is another story. There isn't much space around the socket for larger coolers. I have the same board as you and even my Freezer 7 pro is a tight fit. The outside edge of the fan mount on my cooler comes in contact with the NB heatsink. I know the thermal right ultra will fit but you have to mount it so the fan faces either up or down.

my e6750 takes 1.5volts constant to be stable for 7 hours on 3.6ghz. I prolly got worst batch.

Far2Paranoid: Knew this guy in HS
Far2Paranoid: Built a box with 2x 350Mhz Pentium2, back in '98
Far2Paranoid: The trick was, filled his bathtub w/ glycerin
Far2Paranoid: Took apart a mini-fridge and used the coils to cool the glycerin to ~40F
Far2Paranoid: Then sunk the box so he could OC the CPUs to 1.3Ghz
Far2Paranoid: Coolest stuff I've ever seen.
AlbinoChpmnk: If this was sitting in his tub, how did he shower?
Far2Paranoid: After what I just said, what makes you think he showered?

That's odd. You sure its not your NB that may need more voltage?

Also if I were you i would run a stability test for at least 12 hours. When I was oc'ing my chip I had orthos fail at the 7h52m mark so I bumped the voltage to what it is at now (1.42v) and it is 14hrs stable (stopped it manually at that point).

If after 12 hours it still fails try bumping your NB voltage up and see if that helps because your at the max recommended cpu voltage already.
