I need a very 'noob' friendly overclocking guide for Q6600 - Overclock.net

I have 4 GB DDR2 OCZ sli ready ram.

I'm new at this overclocking so I'm really at a loss for what to do, I basically need a step for step (pictures would be nice) guide.

any help would be really appreciated.

see my specs below.

Air cooled.. I'm looking for 3.0ghz, maybe 3.2

I have the Antec Nine Hundred, so I've got all 4 fans going at high speed.

Plus the heatsync/fan on the cpu, and another fan on the 780i mobo blowing on to the cpu.

My cores are running at 48/46/42/40 C

Should I even bother OC'ing?

Sounds like he is using the stock intel cooler that came with the chip.
Especially with those temperatures.

basically should I not be overclocking if I'm already at these temperatures?
